The official opening of the CMWC art gallery on Wednesday was a great success thanks to everyone that showed up to see the artwork and tilt back a few Steam Whistles! Graham, Astrid, Kiki and Sunny D got the house all worked up for a Wednesday night with some great DJ and MC action.

FOr those who did not hear, the CMWC art gallery is located at The Augusta  House, 152 Augusta in Kensington Market. Regular hours are 4pm to 2am 7 days a week. Come check out messenger art for around town and around the world! Many pieces will arrive with the messengers coming to CMWC so this show will be hanging new pieces right through this week.

The Augusta House is our gallery choice, perfect for messengers it has a lot of wall space for the great artwork and to make sure you are comfortable and having a good time while you visit with other CMWC messengers and check the walls there is a full bar and a kitchen where the proprietors will make you some great food to enjoy in the luxurious booths & tables. Play a game of pool, have a beer, check out the videos, maybe have a hamburger while chilling..it's good times.

The closing party is Monday, June 16th in the evening. Much of the work will stay up all month but some will go back home overseas when the artists for CMWC leave, so this party is for those people and for all of CMWC, we're having it while everyone is still in town.

Wow, that was interesting... and a lot of fun!

Thank you to everyone that came out to volunteer as Bike Valet for the Toronto Cyclists Union Film Night. We only needed 5-7 people but it was so much more fun with everyone there. Thanks especially to Dennis who worked the entire (6 hour) shift and Toby for showing up after getting off work to help with the last show letting out.

We didn't lose track of any bikes, one nice lady had her helmet walk away but it was found, so the entire night was a success. Thanks to Craig Barnes of the bike union for hooking up a few bike union volunteers to add to ours.

The people exiting the cinema reported that both shows were raging successes, congratulations to the Toronto Cyclists Union on a job well done. It feels good to have a group with members from every other group working together toward a common goal. Go bike union!

Chippy, got any photos?

The Island test was a great success! Thanks to everyone who braved the rain in the morning and were rewarded with a beautiful afternoon!

Special thanks to the Main Race Crew, Mark, Snoopy, Givago and all you guys! Also big props to Dennis for operating a checkpoint and the grill at the same time!

The Main Race Crew reported that they were able to gather the data they needed with the multiple manifest test that day, and are now prepared for the main event! Everyone had a great time helping test it out and the word on the street is that this is the best race system EVER for a CMWC. Smooth, yet challenging, simple but complex or something.

There was burgers and dogs after thanks to CMWC crew, but especially Dennis on the grill, and many people were sweet enough to BYOB then share it with the rest of us.

A great day on the Island!
